The SATRE
Evaluation Catalogue
SATRE is helping to create a more consistent, transparent and trustworthy approach to Trusted Research Environments across the UK. It provides an open, community-led specification that supports the design, operation and improvement of TREs, bringing together best practice in information governance, computing technology, data management and public trust. By giving organisations a shared framework for assessing their TREs, SATRE makes it easier to identify strengths, prioritise improvements and demonstrate a commitment to safe, high-quality research with sensitive data. It is already being used by TRE organisations in academia, the NHS and industry, and continues to evolve as part of wider UK efforts to improve interoperability and trusted access to data for research. This Evaluation Catalogue provides the TRE Community to evidence their alignment to best practice implementation of their organisational TREs enabling transparency, demonstrating trustworthiness, and improving the capability landscape in the UK and beyond.
